Our "two-car" garage is really too small for two cars to comfortably fit side-by-side, so we decided when we moved in that we would park one car inside and one car outside, and use the other half of the garage for storage. We got a couple of shelves, and Anna set up her easel and painting stuff in the non-car half of the garage (picture above). I got jealous that she was having more fun in the garage than I was, so I built a workbench last week and made a little man corner (picture below).
A couple of things I feel like I should point out about this picture...first, you will notice that there is a mini-fridge neatly tucked underneath my workbench. I promise there is only water and nutritious snacks in there for when I need a break in the garage...definitely not full of beer. Also, notice that the back and side of my workbench are made up of pegboard. Who cares that there isn't anything on the pegboard right now...that's because I'd prefer to have everything scattered on top of the table and shelves for right now. But when Anna yells at me and makes me clean it up, I have some pegboards to use.

Your plans for your garage is great but you might change your mind once the winter gets here. It is always good to have a "man corner" but you may want to install a MAN curtain or something to hide your mess so you won't be yelled at.
Miss you guys a lot,
Love, DAD
OK, I'll take you word for it that there is ABSOLUTELY NO BEER in the fridge ... but then what is that brown bottle on the workbench for?
Love,
Kaitlyn
Kaitlyn, your eye is too sharp. How did that beer get there?
