Kathy's Bachelorette Weekend

This little mamacita got to escape to Austin for Kathy's bachelorette weekend in July. I was surrounded by my college BFFs and we had the most wonderful weekend celebrating the bride to be. We did a lot of eating, talking, dancing, and relaxing. This was the longest time I had been away from Miles and I really lived it up (as much as I could being pregnant!).

Rooftop hotel pool. Fantastic view of downtown Austin.

Hip hop cover band! What could be more perfect?

The ladies who could drink (poor Anna).

This cover band was AMAZING. We all fell in love with them. There was a lot of dancing going on here.

Wonderful ladies.

Had to squeeze in some breakfast tacos.

Amy's Ice Cream as I boarded the plane.

The only sad thing about the due date for baby girl Morshedi, is that I won't be able to be in Kathy's wedding. It is so hard to think about that. I'm just so glad I got to have this weekend to celebrate.

Berry delicious outing

We ventured to Wye Mountain again this summer for some berry picking. And it is officially one of our summer traditions. Last year, Miles mostly sat in the stroller and looked hot.

Throw back to last summer.
This year, he and Andrew were in berry heaven eating berries off the bush and running around in the fields. Miles's favorite food on the entire planet is blueberries. So, when he realized he was surrounded by them, he just started grabbing them by the handful and stuffing them into his mouth. I don't even know how many he ate. I really think he was in his toddler version of heaven.

They finally realize that we are supposed to put the berries in the bucket instead of our mouths.

On to the blackberries.

Looks like a berry dual.

Which one of you blackberries wants into my mount?

Ferociously eating a berry.

More, more!

Support from Andrew.

Andrew started feeding Miles berries. Here Miles is giving him a pat on the back to thank him.

Berry stealing.

One for you and one for me.

Miles is in a post-berry coma here.

Some sort of berry cheer!

Goofy boys.

Nature walk with Mimi.

Listening to the birds at our post-berry picnic stop.

Ani's wedding

Ani is married! We drove down to Austin for the beautiful outdoor wedding on a bluff overlooking the Texas Hill Country. The weekend was full of seeing lots of old Waldorf friends. Besides the chiggers that attacked Grant's legs, the weekend was perfect. Ani put on quite the party and we are so happy for the newly married couple!

Rehearsal dinner with Nick and Rachel.

Enjoying a night with a babysitter!

The Waldorf crew.

My childhood best friends.

My prego partner in crime.

Summertime fun

This has been quite a fun summer so far. Miles is 21 months and is still exploding with language every single day. And he is starting to put words together. He can say things like, "bug eye" or "red shoe." He has also started saying, "Miles truck (or whatever the object is)." And the "mine" phase is in full swing. He is just a joy to be around lately. I'm one lucky mama.

Cousin love.

Being funny by putting his water cup in his boot.
