Three months old

Miles is three months old and changing so much lately. He his smiling and laughing a lot. He also surprised us on Christmas morning by rolling from his tummy to his back. It is so fun watching him learn about the world and engage more and more.

To celebrate him turning three months, we transitioned him to sleeping in his own room! And everyone is actually sleeping better so far.

Austin Christmas

While Little Rock experienced a white Christmas, we escaped to the warm Austin air. It was another whirl wind trip with lots of new people meeting Miles. We were pretty impressed at how well he did with all the excitement and changing scenery. Now that we are home, I think he might be bored with our slow-paced life.

We held a big Sip and See party so all our friends and family could meet Miles. It was amazing to have so many loved ones in one place!

We also got to meet up with the Parkers. Dad had all his grand kids in one place. I somehow only got one picture from the day. There was too much excitement with the kids opening gifts to focus on taking pictures.

And on our way out of town, I got to slip in a quick visit with Kathy. It was short, but I was so glad she got to meet Miles. 

Little Rock Christmas

Would you rather your infant scream at piercing decibels on a flight? Or, would you rather they create monster poops during take off? Well, we got the second. Miles did really well on all the flights, except for the crazy pooping. I was too scared to change him on the plane, so Grant took one (or many in this case) for the team.

Once we got to Little Rock, the first item on the agenda was to meet the newest family member, Andrew Michael Shook, our Nephew. He is a month old and is in a very cuddly phase.

Since we weren't going to be in Little Rock for Christmas day, the Morshedi's brought Christmas day to us! We celebrated early so we could all be together. Basically we got TWO Christmas mornings. And then all the family was invited over to meet Andrew and Miles. Sure are happy we will be able to see family a lot more often in six months when we live in Little Rock.

This might be my favorite photo from the trip. It is just so beautiful to see old and young together.

This year a few of my very close friends also had babies. This trip I got to meet Allison and Chris's new baby Everett. He is also a big baby boy. I have a feeling these two chunks will be close buds.

Then it was time for our annual friend get together at Steve and Julie's house. We decided even after we move back we need to keep this party going. This time when we said goodbye, it wasn't nearly as hard. See ya in six months!

Poor Reed was sick this visit, so I didn't get to cuddle with him. But look at this smile. He is pretty irresistible.

We got to see Jan and the Tatem side of the family for a Christmas gathering. The only problem is that with all the kids and chaos, I didn't take many pictures. This cute one of Dalton will have to suffice for now.
