sigh

Now that the tough first 4 weeks are out of the way for me, I get to relax a little bit for the next 4 weeks. I'm doing a rotation in clinics at the Salt Lake VA for the next month. Anyone who has stood in line at the DMV knows that government-run businesses operate on their own lackadaisical schedule, which should work out well for me.

Looking back, the last 4 weeks were pretty rough, and I'm not sure I was completely prepared for it. Somehow I made it through without any serious damage. I made a few friends, learned my way around the hospital (the secret bathrooms, the code for the room that has snacks for patients, Starbucks, etc), and maybe even learned a thing or two about doctorin'. And I'm not sure but I think I can sleep standing up now.

For those of you keeping score, it is now Internship 1, Grant 0. I have a feeling I'll make up for it this month though.

Way to go Grant making it through that really tough rotation. I'm glad you have a little breathing space now with normal hours. In my mind it's internship 1, Grant 100.

I'm glad that's over for both of you. As far as the score is, I'd say Grant 8 (you ran for 2) and Internship 0. I'm so proud of you!
Hope you get to do somthing fun together this weekend. Let us know.
Love ya,
Mom/Shery
