SMILE

On a recent jog at a local park, I noticed a manicured flowerbed that read, "SMILE." It was such a simple message, but I guess I needed to hear it at that moment. Life has been hard out here in SLC, but it is slowly starting to get easier.
Grant only has one more day of the hellish rotation he is on. But, of course, it can't be easy. On his last day, he just happens to be on call. This means he has to work through the day, the night, the next morning, and then immediately start his next rotation that same morning without even getting to come home. Sure doesn't sound easy to me. The good news is that his next rotation is a month of clinic where he gets nights and weekends off. I know it will be a wonderful change to get to see each other a little more.

I am also slowly starting to find some friends. It is taking a little while, but I have a few other doctor wives that I can call to hang out with. So all in all things are starting to look brighter.

Anna,
This could have been your flower bed because you are always smiling.
I know it's has been hard on you guys but remember that you can't have a rainbow without a big storm first.
