Christmas

This year was definitely the most magical so far. Watching your kids fully believe in Christmas magic sure adds to the experience of the holidays. We are blessed to have friends and family around us to celebrate the season.

Christmas tree hunt

We returned to Motley’s for our annual Christmas tree hunt. This year we needed a cute little tree to fit in our apartment. We found just the one.

Santa

We had a nice visit with Santa. Miles asked for a rescue bot transformer. Molly asked for a baby doll.
Good thing this is what Santa was planning on getting.

Basement

The basement bar is going to be one swanky hangout area. We did gray tile that looks like concrete with a leathered black granite. Many many drinks will be consumed here. And we named the bar! Barshedi.

Fireplaces

The fireplace stone is installed on the inside and outside fireplaces and we can’t wait to sit and enjoy them. Now that it’s cold it’s so hard to keep from trying them out.

Kitchen stone

Picking a Kitchen stone was quite the task for me. I kept being drawn to marble, but it just isn’t a good choice with little kids around. I finally found a quartz that I liked. It’s installed now and it makes me so happy. This is a good thing since I’ll have to stare at it for the next 30 plus years.

Kids bathrooms

I wanted the kids bathrooms to be clean and simple. I went with gray and white. I’m so happy with the tile. Now I just need to work on paint.

Outdoor cedar ceilings

We had beautiful cedar ceilings installed on the front and back porches. It hasn’t been stained yet, but it’s already stunning.

So long glasses

Here is my last picture with glasses! I finally took the plunge and got corrective eye surgery. I opted for the PRK procedure and it went smoothly. In 10 minutes both eyes were done. The weekend was blurry and a little uncomfortable but today I turned the corner. My vision should be crystal clear by the end of the week. Modern medicine is amazing.

Master bathroom

Our big soaker tub just got installed. The master bathroom is feeling like a spa. The tile is just what I imagined. Our countertops are also installed. In the bathroom they are a nice solid gray.

Cabinets and tile

The house is just speeding along. The exterior brick and stone are almost complete. We just got our front door and large sliding glass doors. Tile has started in the bathrooms. The biggest visual change has been the cabinets. We are just in awe of all the storage we will have.

New Niece

We have a new niece, Emma Rose Morshedi. We were lucky enough to get to meet her in Dallas while we were visiting Brandon and Diana over thanksgiving. Emma was just 10 days old. She is beautiful. Big sister Chloe is doing well with the adjustment.

Thanksgiving with Lockwood/Cross Family

We made it to Dallas for Thanksgiving. We got to meet the 4th cross, Fisher. He was perfect and snuggly. The drive down was actually pleasant and made us hopeful that car travel will be easier in the future.

The kids had the best time playing and climbing trees. The weather was perfection so we had lots of good outside time. Rachel made an amazing Thanksgiving feast (even while taking care of a newborn).

Pulling bread of stuffing.

Big kid tree climbing time.

Part of the feast.

Kid table is growing!

Many blessings this year.
