Getting to know the locals

On a rare day off from hospital hell, Grant joined me for a trip downtown to get to know the locals... local brewskis that is. We visited a local microbrewery called Desert Edge. Grant tried a really tasty hefeweizen and I tried the sampler.

My favorite was the Utah Pale Ale. Utah has some strange liquor laws that we are still trying to learn. When you go to a restaurant and order a beer you are required by law to purchase food. We had no problem with this law and chowed down on some nachos. It was such a treat to get to spend some time together.
