New Year’s Eve

The Hruby’s organized New Year’s Eve cocktails and bowling. We had a great time and enjoyed a kid free evening. The kids had New Years with Mimi. They requested noise makers and gadorade. It was a wild kid party.

Tulsa bound

We packed up the minivan and headed to Tulsa to see the Hudson’s. They are like family to us and being around them is just so comfortable. They just finished a HUGE house renovation and we had to come check out their top notch bar.

We visited the aquarium and also a new outdoor play area called The Gathering Place. I can’t even describe this play area. It’s just magical. We have to go back when it’s warmer!

The magic of Christmas

This year Christmas seems full of extra magic. Six and four are probably the most perfect ages to experience the magic and the preparation of the season. We lived it up this year with lots of Christmas traditions. We saw Santa, drove through the trail of lights while sipping on hot chocolate, made gingerbread houses, stayed in our pjs all day, watched Christmas movies, played board games, saw the lights at the Capitol, saw the nutcracker ballet, and awaited special notes from our kindness elves.

The best gift this year was the handmade HQ command center that Grant made. The kids went wild over it.

I love being around family and friends and hosting and cooking and laughing and blasting Christmas music. Being in our new home while doing all those things is just icing on the cake. What a wonderful end to 2018!

We were featured in our neighborhood magazine as the newcomers and with it came some wonderful family photos.

Thankful

We continued the tradition of spending thanksgiving in Dallas. The Cross’s hosted a huge family meal. We also took a trip up to the family farm in Sanger. New born lambs stole the show.
