Six months later...

Wait, you mean to tell me that my little bambino is six months? No way. That can't be true. I think we must have hit a time warp. I know I keep saying this, but each baby phase gets better and better. Miles now weighs 18 pounds and can sit on his own. He just started saying, "dada" which melts our hearts.

Mohawk hair. He loves bath time.

Our latest discovery is swinging.
Cutest owl ever.

Still has those cubby cheeks.
Happy boy!

Six Years

Six years ago, I got to marry this hunk. And look at us now! We have an amazing baby and an exciting new chapter of life that is about to start. I promise I am counting my blessings.

For our anniversary, Mimi watched Miles and we hit the slopes. It had just snowed a few days before and there was still some powder on the mountain. It was a perfect ski day. I haven't skied in over a year because I was pregnant last season. It was such a treat to get to ski Snowbird one final time before we move.

And I couldn't be more in love with my hubby. Having a baby and watching Grant become a father has made me fall in love with him in a totally different way. He is truly my perfect match.

Mimi's Farewell Trip

I wish I could remember how many times my Mom has visited us in Salt Lake City. It has been so many that we can't even count. I'm not sure how I ended up lucky enough to have such a loving Mom. Last week was the final visit she will be making to Salt Lake City to see us. This trip felt like the first of many lasts we will be facing over the next three months. We called the trip, "The Farewell Tour." We tried to hit all Mom's favorite spots and of course included lots of Mimi snuggle time with Miles.

Mimi feeding her boy.

We went on a tour of the High West whiskey distillery. Then we had a yummy tasting.

Miles enjoyed going to restaurants with us. He can sit in a highchair now.

Mimi loves this little monkey butt.

Mimi got to join us for baby story hour.

Miles really could not get enough of Mimi story reading. And I can relate. I always love hearing my Mom read aloud.

Showing off his new hat from Mimi.

First overalls.

Two cuties.

Miles looks so big in this picture. You can start to see what he will look like as a little boy.

Don't go!
The next time my Mom visits us, we will be living in Little Rock. I am not sure I am ready to start my SLC goodbyes yet.

Ammeh Visit

We must give props to Jim for arranging a surprise visit for Ammeh Mahvash to come to Salt Lake. It was the best gift and Miles sure did get used to all the attention. Mahvash loves this boy so very much and it shows in the pictures. We are so glad to be moving back to Little Rock so family isn't so far away.

Look who came to visit me!

You caught me naked!

Professor Miles.

I picked lots of "fru fru" restaurants for this visit.

Checking out the farmers market.

Look closely at that left hand. That is how Miles felt about being at the farmers market.

The fam.

Nice day at Red Butte Gardens.

San Fran

Grant attended a work conference in San Fran and guess who got to be his plus two? Me and Miles! Now that I'm not working, I can join Grant on his conference adventures. I wasn't sure how it would work to site see with a baby. It turns out it was pretty fun. Miles is very into people watching, so what better place than San Fran to do that.

Mr. Cool at the hotel.

Dinner out at a hip burger joint (And no, mine isn't meat. It was an incredible chickpea patty.)

Sunset at the hotel bar.

Art vendors at Union Square.

My site-seeing partner in crime. Catching a few Zzz's in the stroller.

Hiked up a million flights of stairs with Miles to see the view from Coit Tower.

Pier 39 sea lions.

All hail King Miles. Enjoying the king sized bed.

View from Ghirardelli Square.

Chinatown.

First time sitting in grass. It blew his mind.

Happy to be in the sunshine!

Breakfast at the largest farmers market in the country at Ferry Plaza.

Buying picnic items for a trip to see the ocean.

Ferry Plaza farmers market.
Amazing coffee place in Ferry Plaza. They brew each cup one at a time.
More Daddy hugs.

Giving Daddy a hug (or face grabbing...it's hard to tell).

Enjoying some Mommy time. (Well, it doesn't really look like he is enjoying it at all).

Miles has seen the ocean.

Not too impressed.

Picnic on the beach.

Cold beach trip.

Martin Luther King Jr. was saying something to Miles. We couldn't quite make it out.

Had to dress like a hipster while in San Fran.

Miles's head looks huge here.

Love this little chubster.

Dapper boy.
