Tulsa

We finished out the year with a trip to Tulsa to see the Hudsons. Mostly importantly, we got to meet the newest addition, baby Luke. He is the calmest and easiest going baby I have ever met. Scott and Sarah just moved into a beautiful new home that was perfect for FIVE kids to play and roam free. We miss living in the same city with the Hudsons. Good thing we already planned our next beach trip. Now we have something to look forward to.

A trip to the aquarium.

Touching a starfish.
And somehow I didn't get any pictures of me and Sarah. I have a feeling we were too busy changing diapers to take any pictures.

Christmas Day

Santa was good to us this year. We really do have all we need and that is a great gift. We are so grateful for our family and friends. Life is good! Experiencing Christmas with a one and three year old was just amazing. Miles really got into the magic of the season and actually helped decorate the tree this year.
Santa left a market stand and a "train that moves by itself." That is what Miles kept telling Santa he wanted.

The presents waiting to be unwrapped.
Christmas morning. Holding their stockings tightly.

Realizing there were toys inside.

Digging to the bottom of the stocking.

Santa brought Miles orange goggles!

Mimi did a great job picking out this firestation.

Then it was off to the big Morshedi family christmas at Jim and Mahvash's house.

The Shook fam.

The whole crew. And I think we are ALL looking at the camera.

And a funny shot.
Look at these Christmas outfits. These two are just the sweetest.

Bowling

We took Miles to Professor Bowl for his first bowling experience. He was barely able to get the ball down the ally, but somehow he got a strike! And I happened to catch it on video. We will definitely be going back for some more family bowling time.

Videos

It's time for a few video updates. Miles and Molly still LOVE going to the park and swinging. Molly has discovered how to participate in some of the exhibits at the Museum of Discovery. And she also can nod her head yes and no.

The Start of the Christmas Season

We went to the Christmas tree farm again this year. It was one of those amazing weather days. We found just the perfect tree and Miles helped Grant cut it down.

Riding in the tractor at the tree farm.
We found it!

Proof that we cut it down ourselves.

The tree search crew.

The tree decorated and cocktails to celebrate.
We hosted some of Miles's friends for a Christmas craft time. It was both chaotic and fun. I sure do love this group of kids (and mamas!).

Jim and Mahvash invited us to meet Santa and take some pictures. We got a classic "baby crying" picture of Molly. It is a right of passage.

Family Photos

Grant's cousin, Nader, helped us out again this year with some family photos. We had quite a few things working against us. Miles didn't take an afternoon nap, Molly was just generally cranky, and both kids wanted to hold their snacks in all the photos.

But, Nader was still able to capture a few wonderful moments.

This is a little taste of real life. Hug or strangle?
