Five Months

Miles is almost five months old. Right now he is working on sitting up and eating his feet. Both are very satisfying to him. He also has starting making pterodactyl type noises. The most amazing skill he has developed so far (according to mom and dad) is putting his pacifier back in his mouth! Saves us a lot of screaming.

I don't want to be a grown up anymore!

This past week, we have put our condo on the market and created a Will, Trust, and Healthcare Directive. Does that sound like too many grown up things to you? The answer is a resounding YES!

February has been a bit of a stressful month for us. We decided to put our condo on the market. This involved getting a storage unit and hauling a bunch of our junk away. I am glad that we are trying to sell, but it sure does take a lot of work. Now we are in the selling phase where we have to live as if we aren't really living in our house. So much fun with a baby!

Please wish us luck on the sale of our condo. We are just hoping we can sell it and break even. If not, then we will have to rent it out.

Miles Videos

Here are some great new videos starting Miles. Enjoy.

12 HOURS!

We have had a sleep breakthrough. The past four nights, Miles has slept 12 HOURS. Before this, he was getting up multiple times throughout the night and nursing twice. I have read about the four-month sleep regression and we definitely experienced it. Now he sleeps from 7-7. I am such a very, very happy (and lucky) camper.

Miles has also started eating some solid food. He really enjoys the eating experience. Do we have a foodie on our hands? So far he has tried rice cereal and squash. Yum, yum.

Soaking up nap-time snuggles. Look at those cheeks!

Off to Mile's 4-month appointment. He is only in the 60th percentile for  height and weight.

Scott and Sarah welcomed baby Jack on January 30. Now we can finally have some play dates.

Miles visited Grant at work and realized that Dad works at a torture center. Look at that scared face.

Working on his tripod sitting skills at baby story hour.

More baby story hour fun with Nathan.

Yoga boys. Marcus is just a few days older than Miles. They joined the mommys at postnatal yoga.

This boy certainly melts my heart on a daily basis.

Grant studying for the boards and holding a sleeping baby. Good multitasking.

FOOD! Look how excited he is to get that spoon in his mouth.

Jim and Mahvash sent this amazing mustache pacifier. Miles thought it was pretty darn funny.

Serious boys and their 'staches.

Sleeping 'staches.

Austin

Miles and I needed to escape the SLC cold and polluted air. We headed to Austin to visit family and relax in the nice warm weather. The hardest part was leaving Grant behind. This was his first time away from Miles and it was tough.

Miles discovered a new trick on the plane. He can rip magazine pages out and crumple them. Pretty fun if you ask me.

This activity gave us about an hour of entertainment.

Wonderful ice cream at Lick! Last time I was here I was pregnant.

Post workout reward!

We fit in lots and lots of walking. Miles liked the warmer weather.

Morning cuddles with Mimi.

Visiting Grandpa.
Indian food and drinks with Kathy. I am a lucky girl. And Mimi babysit so I could enjoy some adult-only time.

Beautiful Mama! We went out to a fancy dinner to celebrate my 30th birthday.

About to experience food perfection at La Condesa.

Trying out the new hip coffee shop, Houndstooth.

Look at this espresso machine. So cool.

Breakfast taco trip number 3!

More walking. Look at that wind-blown hair.

Mimi is a stroller expert now.
It was just the trip I needed. I got to relax, eat wonderful food, and spend time with my family. The only thing that would have made it better was if Grant had been there.
