It's Friday night here in the jungle. Unfortunately I wasn't invited to any parties. Guess I must have inadvertently offended the monkeys somehow.
Saturday is the usual day off for Nepalis, with the work week being Sunday through Friday. But tomorrow I'm joining the team for a quick out-and-back screening eye camp in a local town. No mountains or barfing on the bus this time; it's only an hour or two away. Also, we'll just be screening patients for cataracts and other eye diseases, but not performing any surgery.
Then on Sunday, I'm flying back to Kathmandu via my favorite little 115 degree Dhangadhi airport (pictured below). I wonder if I'll feel cold in Kathmandu. Maybe I'm getting used to the heat? I'll definitely miss this hospital. It's been an incredible experience.
