Austin Escape

To help me cope with being all alone, I headed to Austin for a week. It was my last Austin trip without Miles. It was so nice to get away from work and relax. And as always, when in Austin, the people and food were top notch!

Celebrating Mom's birthday on the actual day! I never get to do that.

I could not stop eating ice cream on this trip.

In our continued quest for good local produce, we visited 5 Mile Farms down the street from Mom's new place. They use vacant lots in town as their plots. Mom joined their CSA. Now her veggies will be grown down the street. Love that local food connection.

Tried another amazing ice cream place. This one was gourmet with flavors like vanilla lavender.

Some good eats with Mom. Wish I could have had a glass of wine.

And we couldn't resist a little shopping. This time Mom got more than me!

And we did lots of walking. I think Mom is a faster walker than me now.
