Snowy Camping Trip

We packed up our camping gear and hit the road this weekend for a camping trip with Scott and Sarah. We ended up finding a great campsite up in the Uinta Mountains.

Grant at the campsite.

Bosco's little dog tent.
This has been a record snow fall year for Utah. At this point in the summer, the snow in the Uinta's is pretty much melted except for a few really high mountain tops. Well, not this year. Here is what we found just a few minutes away from our campground.

Guess we won't camp here.

Snow on the 4th of July.

Just to get perspective of how much snow is still left, we found a road sign poking up from the ground.
Bosco was our hiking guide.

Amazing camping quesadilla that Sarah made.

Hiking near Christmas Meadows.

Postcard backdrop to our picnic lunch.

Watermelon being eaten with a large knife.
We finished off our 4th weekend with a Bee's baseball game and fireworks show. Couldn't have been a better weekend.
