Half Way and Feeling Groovy

The half way point of my pregnancy has been reached and it feels like a real accomplishment. I feel really great the past few weeks. They say this is the period of pregnancy when you have the most energy and are the most comfortable in your body. I better live it up.

Grant and I have declared May the "Get Stuff Done Month." Since Grant will be in Nepal for most of June and then starting fellowship in July, this is really the best time to get lots done to prepare for the baby.

We have purchased our crib, changing table, and side table. So we do have a few things checked off our list. Next is tackling the garage so I can park in it again. It was taken over by Grant's tools during the loft project and it is time to organize and clean it up. I don't want to have to deal with snow scraping with an infant.

We have decided to go with a rock 'n roll theme for the nursery. We already have Grant's guitars hung beautifully in the room, so it felt fitting to go with a music theme. The changing and side tables that we purchased are actually retro 60's items from a consignment store. We wanted to be a little less traditional in our nursery design.

As the nursery comes together, I will post some pictures. This weekend we are working on moving stuff out of the room and into some closets. I am also going to work on creating some artwork for the baby. I am going to do a four piece painted instrument painting. They will be silhouettes of a piano, drum set, guitar, and trumpet against solid color backgrounds. Should be cool.
