Well, Grant has never been blind, but he sure can't see well without his glasses. He finally decided to do something about it and got PRK on Thursday. PRK is like LASIK with a few differences. It has a longer more painful recovery time, but better long-term results.
He has been in a bit of pain the last few days, but he can already see very well. It will take another week or so before he is totally healed. So, now life will begin without contacts or glasses. I am so jealous. I want to get it done too, but you can't be pregnancy or breast feeding. Guess I will have to wait a while longer.
I decided that the reason he did the surgery was so he could more easily help with late night diaper changes. He said that was not the case.

Pre surgery. The mustache was an added surgery day item.

Ok, this is the tough part. I got to watch his surgery in the waiting room. In this picture, they are actually scrapping off the first layer of his eye. This is why it is a painful recovery.

Eye protectors so he doesn't touch his itchy eyes. I suggested a dog cone collar, Grant didn't agree.

I can't get pass the mustache! I'm glad it was just a surgery day thing! What if your baby boy is born with a 'stache?? Then we would for sure know God's sense of humor!
