Cooking Lessons

Uncle Scott and Aunt Pam came to visit a few weekends ago. And, as a bonus, I got some great cooking lessons! Uncle Scott is one of those cooks that doesn't use recipes. I am so jealous of people like that. I always have to have a recipe next to me to cook. We made all sorts of wonderful meals during their visit. The best was our wild rice pilaf and stuffed butternut squash.

The weather was a bit rainy, but we were able to squeeze in the downtown farmers market and some walking around city creek canyon.

We discovered a new coffee place called Jack Mormon. This place makes a killer cup of coffee using a vacuum method. They have a special machine that brews one cup at a time. The machines aren't available anymore because Starbucks bought the company and stopped distributing them.

Now it is definitely our time to go visit Scott and Pam in Colorado!
