4 out of 5

We have now been to 4 out of the 5 national parks in Utah and we still have two more years to go. I feel pretty proud of that statement. I was so excited to meet Leah and Peter in Arches National Park last weekend. What is better than visiting with an old friend?

It was the last leg of their camp across America trip from Arkansas to California and back. When we arrived, it was about a billion degrees out, so we decided what better time for a sunny hike!

We hiked a couple of miles to the Double O arch. There was a preliminary arch along the way to get us excited.

Grant had some moments of deep reflection during the hike.

Old friends are like family. Can't you just feel the love in the picture above? Grant was just happy to drink some water after the hike.

Leah and Peter have become camping top chefs. They cooked us shrimp and veggie kabobs with rice and a gourmet salad. It was better than what I could have cooked at home with all the modern day amenities.

What a fun and fast trip. I wish we had more time to visit, but jobs started calling our name.

Is this the park in Moab? The one drove pass in the middle of the night so we didn't get to see any of the arches? Looks awesome! Would love to go there one day!
