Tonight is Grant's last night on call for the rest of his intern year! He will still be working some pretty crazy hours, but he will always come home and sleep in his own bed. Mentally, it makes a huge difference for him. And Grant couldn't be more excited. We even went to Walmart last night to purchase party supplies for him to take to the hospital. You gotta celebrate the small stuff in life!
We both had this past Friday off and got a few home projects done. Grant designed and built a rack for our skis. What a handy man. Then we broke out the grill and made a killer steak dinner. We sure do put a lot of photos of food on our blog. Hmm...I wonder what that says about us?

I couldn't tell from the picture, where the ski shelf is in your house. Is it in the garage?
I am so glad that there is no more call nights at least for a few months.
You guys are very talented. You can design and build, you can cook, you can ski (well sort of...).

Awesome being done with call. Something about getting to sleep in your own bed makes all the difference no matter how many hours you have to work. Almost done with call myself, though mine regrettably gets much worse next year. Can't wait to see y'all in Tunica!

you guys are welcome anytime in the Alford house!! I hope you and Grant are able to come down sometime - it would be TONS of fun :) Wes and I are actually going to be Austin over Memorial Day weekend...any trips home in your future?
I just got back from a trip to Austin. Oh man was it great. Enjoy your time there. We can't wait to see you in June!
