Independence Day

We started the holiday weekend with a celebration at St. Margaret's Church. I coordinated the kid games this year. It's nice to finally have time to help with events like this. It was sweltering, but we all had a good time.

We took the kids and Grant's mother to see the Arkansas Travelers play a baseball game. It felt like a good patriotic activity. At the end the kids got to run the bases.

This year we decided to try out the independence parade in our future neighborhood of Woodlands Edge. It's a very family friendly area, so there were a ton of kids. We had decorated bikes and played at the playground until we were dripping with sweat. The weekend ended with a family cookout at Ali's house. He even grilled me a veggie burger!
