Clearing the land

We are finally at the starting line. The land has been cleared of trees and the excavation to level the front part of the lot has started. We were hopeful that the land would be mostly dirt, but of course it's solid rock. We are going to use the excavated rock to build a rock retaining wall at the back of the lot. This will also give us a little bit of a backyard behind the house.
