Road Tripping - Leg Two

The next stop was Omaha. Our deer friends the Millers moved from Little Rock to Omaha in June and we just couldn't wait for a visit. It was a moment of pure joy when we pulled up to their new house and all got lots of hugs! Liz was so much a part of my daily life and routine, so it's been so hard to carry on without her. 

 

 

 We also have friends from residency who live in Omaha. The Gaffneys had us all over for an amazing family dinner. Melissa has been remodeling a hundred year old house and it was just stunning.

While Chris and Dan went to work, we escaped to the zoo!

 These two have been zoo buddies since they were 1.5 years old. The Omaha Zoo was huge and had great exhibits. We could have spent all day there. 

 

 

 

 

 

It was a hot day. The misters were a big hit. 

 

 

 

I was in love with the walk through aquarium. 

 

 

 My oh my these are a cute pair. 

 

We went to a brewery restaurant that had a magician. Parents and kids were happy campers!

 The next stop at the children's museum. Again, we could have spent forever in there exploring. Omaha is definitely on our list to visit again. 

 

 

 

We ended this leg by celebrating Chris's birthday. We went to Blatt and I had the best veggie burger of my life.
