Half Marathon in SEVEN Weeks!

I have signed up for a half marathon in Bryce Canyon National Park on July 18. My company is sponsoring the event so I get free registration. It will be a pretty amazing race seeing as the course goes through a National Park. There aren't too many races with views like this one (see picture below). I am in the middle of a six-week training. Over the last month, I have run 60 miles. I am hoping to run this race under 2:15. We shall see.

The training is fun, but takes a lot of time and energy. It will be worth it come game time. Last week I went running at Sugarhouse park and had Grant meet me with a picnic dinner. Knowing there was a husband and food waiting for me at the end of the run helped out more than you know.

Annie and Nate had us over for dinner last week to thank us for watching their dog. They are going to come to Bryce to support me at my race!

Bill update: We love him way too much. He is a very social cat and loves to cuddle. Here we are on the couch watching a little TV.

You are an amazing woman! The view is great, but I'm not sure that would be enough inspiration for me to run all that way. Good luck!! You'll do great!!

What a woman!
The only time I even attempt to run is if something or somebody was chasing me and even then, they will probably catch me anyway, so why even try.
Can't wait to see you guys,
Love, Dad

Good for you Anna!! I attempted to train for a simple 5K and apparently wasn't devoted enough because it lasted a few short weeks! Bill is so big! I'm glad you found a good cuddle companion. See you in a few weeks!
Love, Jennifer
