Eagle Pass Elementary

COVID times call for a new form of education. Our pandemic pod has decided to homeschool this year. It was a very involved decision making process with a lot of input from all the parents.

After working on many versions of schedules and what works for everyone, I’ve decided to take on the teaching role. I’ll be using the Oak Meadow curriculum and teaching four kindergarteners and two 2nd graders.

The other families will be offering nanny help throughout the day so I can have a break between teaching and also be able to focus on teaching one grade at a time. It’s a big undertaking, but definitely feels like the right thing to do for our family.

We’ve transformed the guest bedroom into a classroom and outfitted it with desks and chairs and school supplies. The kids are all very excited to start school in this new environment.
