Iran

We “Traveled” to Iran this week and studied family roots and traditions. Wrote our names in Farsi, created a Nowruz (Iranian New Year) Haft-seen table, drank Persian tea, learned the ancient art of rug making, played backgammon (the oldest known board game), and danced with traditional coin skirts. Aunts Mahvash and Farzani supplied us with Persian sweet treats and tangible artwork to touch and feel.
