Grant had the opportunity to go on a medical mission trip to the island of Pohnpei in the Federated States of Micronesia. He went along with a group from the Moran Eye Center, where he did residency and fellowship training. There are no ophthalmologists in this entire country, so there are a lot of people in need of basic eye surgeries! In a week, the team that Grant was a part of saw over 400 patients and did over 140 surgeries.
