Life with two kids

So, what is life like with two small kids? My answer would be...FULL! It is full of shaping these little lives and trying to keep myself sane along the way. This is one crazy, exhausting, and unbelievably amazing phase. I finally feel like I am in a rhythm with day-to-day life. I can get two kids fed and clothed and out the door without anyone crying! The hardest part is that there isn't much time or energy for me yet. I know that will change, but at the moment my needs are not at the top of the list. At least I'm getting a little more sleep lately.

Miles is in a phase of gaining independence. This is so important and also takes so much patience from my end. "I can do it by myself" is used constantly. He is potty trained (besides when he sleeps). Potty training has been a lot of work. Constantly thinking about when someone else has to pee and poop is pretty exhausting.

Miles is so much fun right now. He is so verbal and we have very long and often hilarious conversations. When he plays he really uses his imagination. He is very caring and loving. My love for him is pretty overwhelming. He remains to love food and is an adventurous eater. He definitely pushes boundaries at this age, but responds well to deep breathing and time out when needed.

Molly has started rolling over. She remains to be a very quiet child. She is calm and tender. And all she wants to do is stare at Miles. She does like being around me and Grant, but nothing compares to her interest in Miles. Now that she is responding more to her surroundings, Miles has shown more interest in her. I am excited to watch their relationship grow and change.
