She's here! Our beautiful baby girl has arrived. Molly Ann Morshedi was born September 19, 2014 at 7:00 a.m. She weighed 6 pounds 5 ounces and was 19 inches long. We weren't quite expecting her yet. She was born at 36 weeks, but luckily she is strong and healthy. Here is how the story goes...
I had just finished eating dinner out with Mille and Miles. We were walking back to the car and all of the sudden I felt my water break. I was TOTALLY not expecting delivering early and was a little shocked. We drove back to our house and as I walked in the door there was another gush. Miles cutely said, "Mommy pee pee on the floor?" I called Grant and he headed home and we packed our hospital bag.
Grant was actually scheduled to fly out the next morning for a very fast work trip to San Diego. We were both soooo happy that he hadn't gotten on that plane. We got checked into the hospital and started the laboring process. We originally thought we were going to have another c-section. But since she was coming so early and was probably a smaller baby, we decided to try a VBAC.
I had a great epidural and Grant and I both slept for a few hours. In the morning I had progressed quite a bit and by 6:30 a.m. I was ready to push. I pushed for about 20 minutes and then there she was! We did straight skin to skin and I held her for about an hour just bonding.
Mimi brought Miles to the hospital later that day to meet Molly. He had a good reaction. He showed some interest and asked, "what's that" while pointing at her. Then he mostly wanted to push the buttons on the hospital bed. It was a good first meeting. We have had lots of family and friends come and meet Molly. I don't have pictures of all the visitors, but it has been fun to show her off.
Now it is 24 hours later and we are working on getting discharged from the hospital. Molly is so beautiful and we are just in heaven as we get to know her. I am just so thankful to God that the birth went the way it did. We wouldn't change a thing. Thanks be to God!

Congrats to you and your family! (And way to scare me about going into labor weeks before expected. Wasn't Miles more than a week late like HP? Eeek! I've been counting on having until at least early November...)
